Dropped by to say hello

I have finally finalized (it’s like a tongue twister!) my schedule for next week! I’ll be going back to the Philippines for a little over a week, and some things included in my schedule are Laiya (Batangas), Coron (Palawan), UP (alma mater!), and Canyon Woods (Tagaytay). Whew! What a jam-packed week of going places, chilling and hanging out with friends, and basically just having fun. Wee! I can’t wait to go to the beach! It’s been ages since we last went to Coron, and I’m a bit sad that the “young ones” aren’t going to be there on the same days that I’m there but oh well. It’s still gonna be fun!

This week’s also the last week of Spring Term 2012. Another 3 months have gone by. Wow! A part of me is glad that the term is finally ending, but a LITTLE part of me is sorta sad that it is. That’s life!

I spent yesterday basically catching up with a lot of friends online, chatting and all. I’m really glad that because of technology, we can sometimes bridge the gap, even for a bit. I know being right next to each other is better (at least sometimes for me it is) but since we can’t do that, I’m glad there’s the Internet and social networks to still keep me connected with my friends. Wee!

Okay, gotta start studying for our finals.

The Postmortal by Drew Magary

You can’t stop people from doing what they want to do. They’re always going to do it. Mankind has a path for itself, a trajectory , and you can never knock it off of that course.

I just finished reading this novel by Drew Magary that came out last 2011. I’ve said it before that our library (National Chengchi University) is so awesome! I found this book at the “New Arrivals” section last week and I was immediately caught by its bright cover. The description at the back piqued my interest so I decided to borrow it. I must say, it’s a good read. I finished it in a day! I didn’t want to put it down.
