My name is Therese Chua, a Chinese-Filipino millennial (yes, I am embracing the word that people these days use to refer to my generation) who took my master’s degree in International Studies (International Development track) in Taiwan and my undergraduate degree in European Languages (major in Spanish, minor in Speech Communication) in the University of the Philippines. As you can probably already tell, I love languages. I don’t love it to the point that I know how to speak 7 or 8 languages though – but I know Chinese (Mandarin and Hokkien), English, Filipino, and Spanish. I also took up basic French, but I’ve forgotten a lot of phrases since I haven’t had the chance to use it. I want to learn Italian in the future, because for some reason, I find it really cool. I also want to learn Portuguese because it shares a lot of words and it has a lot of similarities to Spanish, so might as well. I’m currently working in the logistics industry, for a large Taiwanese business group and specifically under their freight forwarding company, which also means that I’m based in Taipei, Taiwan.

I’ve had this blog for so many years now, and I started it to serve as an honest outlet for my thoughts and to document my life. I wanted to write events from my life so that I can someday look through them again and remember how life was, how I was at that time, and to see how my journey has been.

C’est moi. Soy yo. It’s me.
This is me. Welcome to my life!

  • Gotta live like you’re dying ♥ (This is a song title but now this could translate to #YOLO)
  • Continue believing in yourself especially if no one believes in you
  • Have the courage to follow your heart and seize opportunities that come your way

Send me an email at: theresechua@gmail.com :) You can also leave a comment and I’ll be sure to reply. I’d love to know more about you and how your life is.
