First week of July 2013

Standard

I would be going to the Philippines for almost 2 months, so I spent the first week of July in Kaohsiung to visit the boy again. In the 3 days that I was there, we had dinner with my cousin who was in Kaohsiung for her postgraduate medical year, or something like that. We ate at this all-you-can-eat Japanese restaurant. We ordered a looot! There was even a point when the waitress said, you really want to order xxx? You still have orders of xxx, xxx… to which we replied yes! What can we say, we can eat a lot. That is one of the main reasons why I’m the way I am now (chubby huhuhu), because of my love of food. I really need to exercise more, just so I don’t put on all that extra weight from all the eating.

We also went to the representative office for his visa application. He’s going to the Philippines to visit me for around 2 weeks, and we’re going to Coron! Wee! Then, we also went to this discount theater with his brother, where we watched The Numbers Station and Olympus has Fallen (which in my opinion is a stupid movie) for 100 NTD! Not bad, not bad.

On Thursday, we went back to Taipei because he had a meeting on Friday. On Saturday, we went to Carrefour where I bought last minute stuff for mom. Then, we went back home and I started packing. On Sunday, my relatives and I went to Ponderosa Steakhouse for lunch in celebration of Roxane’s birthday! Yummy food! At night, the boy and I had dinner at Le Bleu, this newly-opened French-Italian restaurant near our place. It’s owned by the same owners behind Le Rouge, a French-Italian restaurant that has been operating in Taipei since 2007. We only tried the pastas, and they were pretty good. Nothing special though. We’re going to try their calzones and pizzas next time. They also have a live DJ, and we think that the place will be converted into a bar of some sort on weekend nights.

I’m going to the Philippines next week. Can’t wait!
