Mom in Taiwan, Day 1!

September 7, 2012

We went to the airport at past midnight to pick mom up. We got home at past 2, if I remember correctly. After mom gave us stuff from the Philippines, we all went to bed! Woke up around noon and got ready. We went to Batman for lunch. Then, we went to Danshui.

I’ve always wanted to check out Fort San Domingo (this fort that was originally built by the Spanish and then later on occupied by the Dutch), so we went there first. You don’t need to pay anything to go inside. It wasn’t big. There were around 2 buildings that you could go into and “explore.” There were also a lot of information and replicas. After that, we went to Fisherman’s Wharf and walked around. Wee!

We returned to Danshui Old Street and continued walking around. We came across this store selling bags at a cheap price! My cousin and I bought bags. Hahaha! Since we weren’t all that hungry yet, we hung out at 6ku’s house for a while. For dinner, we went to Macchiato in the Shida area. After dinner, we walked around Shida night market. Whew, such a tiring but fun day! It was also a very very hot (and slightly windy) day.
