A week left

There’s a week left til grad school starts! Yikes, it’s almost here!!! On the one hand, I’m really looking forward to starting school, so that I’d have more things to do. I’m also looking forward to being able to borrow up to 50 books for a period of 8 weeks, as a grad student. Such a nerd! Hahaha. On the other hand, I’m nervous because I don’t know what’s in store for me. I don’t know if I’m ready for grad school. I really do hope my classmates and professors are all good and easy to get along with.

The other day, I went to school for the international students’ orientation. There were a looot of us there, to the point that the seats weren’t enough to accommodate everyone. They ended up bringing in chairs from outside. Since there were a lot of people in the room, the A/C also wasn’t enough. It was hot. Gaaah. They gave us free lunch – Subway sandwiches! Yummy.

I was also able to check a couple of stuff from my to-do list such as, pay tuition, get my student ID, go to the district office for the insurance thing, and go to the immigration agency. I wasn’t able to accomplish what I went to the immigration agency for though. Boo! I’ll just go back there next week or something. Such a hassle.

Yesterday, my friend Yuki invited me to go with him to Danshui for cruise practice. He’s taking the license exam next week.

Since the driving instructor was still teaching someone else, we went to a nearby store and bought ice cream! Yummy! It was perfect for the hot weather. Then, we got on the boat and he started practicing, driving around (S-shaped, 90-degree turns, reverse, parking, etc.)

Another boat even gave us a bottle of beer! Hahaha. After the practice, we bought some snacks (chicken lollies and mushrooms) and watched the sunset. We also saw the bridge light up! Pretty! We went back to Danshui Old Street and went back to the bag store because mom told me to buy another one. Hee.

I haven’t finished watching all my video lectures on Coursera for this week. Yikes! I also still have more errands to do next week, along with attending my classes. Eep! Oh well, let’s do this!
