Father’s Day in Taiwan is celebrated on August 8 (because it sounds like “papa” in Chinese). Richelle and Roxane bought this special chocolate banana cake from Starbucks to celebrate the occasion. It’s such a cute cake! Yummy too.

My classmates and I had dinner at this Russian restaurant in the Gongguan area. It’s a small restaurant, so we made reservations in advance to make sure we would have seats. It was my first time eating Russian food, and I must say that it’s a bit different from what I normally eat. I’m not sure if it’s authentic Russian food, because we all know how restaurants often adjust the flavors of a dish to suit the locals’ palate, right?

My Japanese friend and I had lunch at Mo’s Burger. I tried out their fish burger thing. It’s not bad, although I still don’t know how to “gracefully” eat their rice burgers. Haha!

A new Italian restaurant called Batman opened near our place, and since my relatives all think it’s gonna close down soon (because of past experience), we tried it. It’s not bad! Plus, their pastas are very affordable. I hope they become successful!
