Just some random thoughts based from experience:
I do believe that culture plays an important part in how a person is brought up. It shapes a person’s way of thinking, it defines how a person reacts to certain things. Having said this, I guess I still have a lot to learn about the other side of the world’s culture. I don’t understand why they are so sensitive with something that for me seem to be trivial.
I don’t know why he took something that the teacher said to help him improve himself, and made it into something bigger than it is, or bigger than it should be. Oh well, I guess there are just some things in life that we get so sensitive about – like our work for example. We are more protective of it because it is something we worked hard on, and something that in one way or another, reflects us.
Why can’t people be content with what they have? I mean, being in another country doesn’t always mean that you’re in your comfort zone. You have to learn to adapt to the people and the culture. You can’t always expect other people to change for you.
You always want the easy way out. You don’t like to work hard. You like to brag. Asked to talk about a bad habit and guess what you talk about? Your bad habit is that you study hard. You study way too much, you say. You go away with going out with friends because you still have to study. YEAH. RIGHT. This coming from the same person who keeps on complaining that we are given way too much homework. We’re not! We’re given just the right amount, or maybe even less.
You don’t even give other people the chance to share their ideas. Outside the classroom, I have no doubt you can be a nice guy, but inside the classroom is another story.
