An adventure I’d like to have
If you could have any type of adventure at all, what would it be? Write a page on an adventure that you’d like to experience. Think of the wildest adventure you can imagine.
If I could have any type of adventure at all, I’d probably go with joining the Amazing Race. I admire that show’s contestants because they have the stamina and the power to go through the entire thing. Personally speaking, I wouldn’t stand long in a race (although I have placed 3rd and 1st in my organization’s Metro-wide race back in the Philippines) because I get tired easily. I’m also not good at directions, and I don’t really know how to read a map. Oh, life!
That said, a great adventure for me would be starting out in one country, experiencing what it has to offer, and then hopping off to another destination and doing the same thing. Although I would prefer going on my adventure in a more laidback manner, I wouldn’t have any complaints against really having it Amazing Race style, with all the running around and chasing after stuff.
I say this because that was what happened to Nicole and I when we were in Spain. Most of the time, we were running around chasing buses and trains, at the same time still trying to breathe everything in. From racing around the bus station at 3:55PM looking for the 4:00PM Toledo bus, to seeing the Mezquita and eating authentic Andalucian gazpacho at Córdoba, to going around Alhambra for 5 hours, to knocking on the Granada bus’ door to ask the driver to let us in because we got there a minute late, to sweating like crazy under the scorching sun, to seeing the famous Segovian aqueducts, to almost having our Barcelona bus collide with a truck, to riding a cab just to catch my bus, to having the bus leave me, and asking another bus to take me in, etc etc etc! This doesn’t even include all the around-Madrid adventures we had!
I really have to say that our Spain adventure is and always will be an unforgettable one for me.
