Do you believe everything happens for a reason? Why or why not?

Yes, I believe so. A lot of things have happened to me that I didn’t understand at first, but eventually I came to realize that the things I wanted to happen weren’t really the best things for me, and what I got were what I needed. Something like that. Therefore, I do believe that everything happens for a reason. God lets things happen for a reason.

Just don’t ask me about violence and crimes and all that, because I really do not know the explanation behind them.

Describe the wackiest but most useful advice you’ve ever received.

I can’t think of anything right now but I can think of a wacky but useful advice we’ve given to our friend. It goes something like…. don’t trust people who dye their hair red or orange. HAHAHA I’m sorry if you have red or orange hair and you get offended. It’s just that our friend had quite some misfortunes with red and orange haired people so we just told her to stay away from them! LOL

If you had a time machine that only let you spend one hour in a different time, what date would you go to?

I was thinking about this question for a good part of the day. This is a tough one! I guess I would have to go to the 15th century, during the Renaissance period. I know that it happened from the 14th-16th century so I just chose the middle year. HAHAHA. A lot has been said about the period, and I want to be able to experience it for myself, even for just an hour. I wanna be inspired and influenced by all that they have to offer.

What made you decide to start a blog?

I started blogging way back 2005, when I was still in 3rd year high school. Ever since I was young, I’ve always been into writing. I kept diaries and journals of what I did, what happened to me, what I thought/felt, etc. I even remember a time when I’d write “newspapers” just to entertain my family!

I decided to blog (or basically to make my journals web-based) because we constantly moved around. From the time that I can remember up to the present, I think we’ve moved/changed houses around 6 times already! A lot of stuff got lost with the moving so I decided to make it online, making sure that it would never get lost. Hahaha! Almost 6 years later, I’m still here! I’ve moved blogs thrice already, if I remember correctly, but I’m glad that I’ve finally found WP because I’m staying here for a long time! :)

What are you looking forward to this year?

I’m looking forward to… graduation! Woo, here we come, real world! HAHAHA it’s scary to think that we now have to fend for ourselves and earn our keep ladida.. Eep I hope everything turns out well. I’m also looking forward  to traveling! I REALLY REALLY HOPE THAT HAPPENS!! :)

Write about one thing you’ve never told anyone and explain why.

Hmm, this is a hard topic to answer. First of all, there must be a reason why I never told anyone about something, right? Therefore, why should I write it here? Hahaha. If I had to answer it though, I guess I’d say that I never told anyone about *C* because well, no one asked and it’s not something I’d just share without someone asking. Hee.

If you only had an hour to live, what what you do with those 60 minutes?

This is another hard one! I thought about going to places but traveling would also take time and the 60minutes are not enough for that so I guess I’d just have my family (and close friends who live nearby HAHA) around me and we’d just talk, look at old pictures and share stories.

Wow. That was tough. I’m not as creative with answering though! I’d love to hear what other people would do!

What do you want to be remembered for?

Hmm, I haven’t really thought about this but I guess what I want to be remembered for is that I was a loving and caring daughter, a great and helpful friend and sister, and a successful person. It’s that simple! I don’t really know what my future has in store for me yet so for now, this is it.

How do you stay entertained when you are snowed in?

Living in the Philippines means that we do not experience snow. Since I’ve never been to a country where it snowed (I’ve only been to China and Taiwan, and we went there during non-snow months. HAHA) I have never seen or experienced snow/being snowed in. Therefore, I don’t really have an answer for this question. If I had to imagine though, I think I’d just spend the day lying on a couch/on the bed near a heater with a good book and hot cocoa! Yummy!

I do hope to experience snow one day. I’m sure I won’t be able to bear it since I easily get cold, but just for the sake of experiencing it. I wanna make a snow angel! Hee!

Describe a recent Aha!” moment. What sparked it?

HMM. The latest Aha moment that I can think of was when I had to write my part for our thesis. I didn’t really know how to organize it and how to write it but then my partner and I talked and talked and finally, we agreed upon the format of our thesis! I guess what sparked the moment was our conversation. This is why I believe that conversation and talking about things can sometimes be beneficial. You just have to make sure that you are willing to listen and to accept criticisms and changes, if there are any.

How do you stay focused on a task or activity?

Truth be told, if I know that I really have to accomplish/finish a task or activity (like my thesis, or a paper), I just set my mind to it and I am able to focus and finish it. If for example there really are a lot of distractions (like Facebook, Twitter, etc.) I open this software called WriteRoom. It opens to a full screen and it’s black with a box in the middle where you can type. That way, I can really concentrate on what I’m writing. If that fails, I turn off the router so that I won’t have internet connection. HAHAHA!
