Philippines, Day 2

Philippines, Day 2

January 18, 2012

I finally got my Renegade Folk flats (birthday gift from my sister) and my Charles & Keith bag (from Auntie Linda). Wee!

Dad was kind enough to bring me to the Mall of Asia, where I met up with Aileen and Lorraine. I’ve been craving for ravioli for some time now, so we had lunch at Bistro Ravioli. I liked their ravioli, except that it was a tad sour for me. I’m not sure if authentic Italian food should be that sour (at least red sauce pastas would be, but I’m not sure if it’s the same for raviolis). We also ordered pizza. I liked the fact that we were the only persons there (more people started arriving midway into our meal) because it meant that we could be noisy and no one would really care. Hihi. We talked about a lot of things, which as usual included our lives, our plans for the future, etc. etc.

After a couple of hours, I had to leave, Aileen had to get back to work, and Lorraine went to watch a movie. Dad came back to pick me up and we went home. I was able to take a short nap before we had to leave for Casa Roces. We were having dinner there, as well as our first ever family photoshoot!

I loved their food! Dad really liked their pasta as well, so that’s saying something. He even told me to write down the names of the dishes so that he could bring his friends there and just show the waiters the list (since he’s not good in English/Filipino). LOL! We also liked their dessert – the Frozen Soufflé. Casa Roces is going to be featured in a future entry over at Manila Foodistas (care of my sister), so watch out for that!
